OC March 7th

“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:37-39‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Chambers verse today was just verse 37 - “we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”

The NLT translates as - “overwhelming victory is ours through Christ who loved us.”

We are more than conquerors. We have overwhelming victory through Christ. And in all the hardship, tribulation, and persecution, that can never be taken away. “… nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:39 NLT

If that doesn’t fire you up and give you the confidence to take on whatever life throws at you, then your trust, hope and faith are off center. You are digging down deep into your own wells to get you through instead of looking up and being offered living water. His love conquers all. That means all. Not some things. All. Big and small. And, we are told that nothing can separate us from His love.

Chambers puts it this way:

“The things we try to avoid and fight against - tribulation, suffering, and persecution - are the. Wry things that produce abundant joy in us. ‘We are more than conquerors through Him’ ‘in all these things’; not in spite of them, but in the midst of them. A saint doesn’t know the joy of the Lord in spite of tribulation but because of it.”

Amen, amen.

My faith and walk with the Lord was renewed after that hardest times I had ever been through in my life to that point. I didn’t know what else to do, so surrender was the only option. He was made strong in my weakness and through my hardship I have been blessed more than I could have imagined. My marriage, my children, my work, my relationship…. I can honestly say that I have no idea where I would be today without the hardship.

You’ve been named victorious already. We have an immeasurable eternal joy ahead, and can be experienced along the journey. So press on. Persist. Persevere. Finish the race even amidst the trials.
