Chambers discusses spiritual perseverance today. How perseverance is not the same as endurance. That, “It is endurance combined with absolute assurance and certainty that what we are looking for, is going to happen.”

When that comes to the spiritual realm, it is “a call not to hang on and do nothing, but to work deliberately, knowing with certainty that God will never be defeated.”

Our hope in Jesus can waiver. Or maybe we are having hopes and dreams that are constantly coming up in disappointment. Chambers says, “If our hopes seem to be experiencing disappointment right now, it simply means that they are being purified. Every hope or dream of the human mind will be fulfilled if it is noble and from God.”

It is one of the greatest stresses - to wait and be still in the onslaught of disappointment. Perseverance, with eyes on the prize (Jesus) will reveal the results God intends for you. How you respond will reveal your true heart towards God.
