“Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may you whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again.” 1 Thessalonians 5:23

Chambers also explores Psalm 139 in todays devotional. This chapter speaks of God knowing us through and through. When I sit and stand, what I will say. You made me in my mothers womb. You know all the hairs on my head. Verse 23-24 “Search me, O God, and know my heart, test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.”
So we understand that God cleanses sin, but to what depth? What we are only conscious of? He is not an arms-length friend. God goes deep, so let Him. Search me, O God. Reveal to me what offends you. Then like yesterdays devotional, we can work on giving it up, so that we can be blameless.

The veil is pulled back here to reveal all that it cost Him to make it possible for us to become sons of God. His agony was the basis for the simplicity of our salvation. “‘But the time is coming - indeed it’s here now - when you will be scattered, each one going his own way, leaving me alone.’”  John 16:32 NLT Underlines: “…scattered to their own concerns…” “We will be scattered, not into service but into the emptiness of our lives…” “…no matter where God may place us or what inner emptiness we experience, we can praise God that all is well.” “Dark times are allowed and come to us through the sovereignty of God. Are we prepared to let God do what He wants with us?” “Until Jesus Christ is truly our Lord, we each have goals of our own which we serve.” “…we will see God pointing out that we have been interested only in His blessings, instead of God Himself.” Notes: -are you friendly because of something somebody can do for you? Is it that way with God? -who/what do you serve -do you want God or His blessings? -being scattered means being separated and disconnected from God.
