OC January 24th

“Now get to your feet! For I have appeared to you to appoint you as my servant and witness. Tell people that you have seen me, and tell them what I will show you in the future.” Acts 26:16 NLT

Paul was on a mission for a person. Not a religion, a cause or a set of doctrine. His life had been turned upside down as Chambers puts it, “He was brought into a vivid, personal, overpowering relationship with Jesus Christ. 

I think this quote is a good summary of the message today:

“It is not enough to give mental assent to the fact that God has redeemed the world, not even to know that the Holy Spirit can make all that Jesus did a reality in my life. I must have the foundation of a personal relationship with Him.”

Jesus Christ seeks a relationship. He is not a cause to support but a person to devote yourself to.
