Psalm 28:7
"From the deepest valleys
To the highland fields
I know you are with me
My strength and my shield
I won't ask for bronze
Or pray for steel
Just for Your Spirit
My strength and my shield
When man's words could be said
Or taunts could be jeered
I am still in Your peace
My strength and my shield
My Lord is almighty
Above all that we feel
His grace conquers all
My strength and my shield"
I wrote this in a journal on March 30, 2010. This verse was a stronghold for me and encouragement to a friend as I supported him through a hard time. I have never written much poetry / lyrics, but the Holy Spirit put this on my heart and it was penned quickly. "... My heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to Him!"
The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.
